| The HMIS Steering Committee has selected ClientTrack as the vendor for our HMIS. With help from C-Bar the Texas Balance of State HMIS was able to leverage free legal services for the contract negotiation phase of our project! THANKS C-Bar and Baker Botts!
Randy Sams’ Outreach Shelter (Texarkana, TX) Executive Director Kristi Bierbaum and Assistant Director of Safe-T (Mt. Pleasant TX) Rachelle McGonagill acted as testers within the ClientTrack system as it was developed. Suggestions were made and the system was customized by their suggestions.
Five pilot sites were identified from the Balance of State regions which include a youth shelter, domestic violence shelter, and emergency shelter. Demos were performed for those agencies and their staff. HMIS Technical Surveys and assessments were conducted for shelters that plan to participate in the Texas Balance of State HMIS.
We have hired training consultants to conduct HMIS End User Trainings on data entry into the system and setting up facilities in the system. JoAnn Depenning of J DePenning Consulting, Inc., Paula Harper of Community Solutions, Lisa McKiernan, and LeeAnn Blackmon both of Team Solve It.
The HMIS Implementation and End User Trainings have begun starting April 24th for those emergency shelters who have received Emergency Shelter Grant funds. These end user trainings will go from April until September 2008.
